Deposit & Confirmation Deposit

We only require a deposit 25% of total tour cost to confirm and secure your booking. But this percent and amount is subject to change. It could possibly be lower, or higher depending on itinerary, trip category and duration. Your personal travel consultant will adjust the amount accordingly.
We accept online payment through gateway.
Either by Cash/Cheque/Demand draft.
Electronic money transfer.
In case of payment through credit card, the bank charges (3% extra) – would be levied over and above the total amount.

Note:
  1. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction.
  2. Bank Charges / Payment gateway charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by itermediary bank) would be strictly borne by passanger.
Final & Balance Payment

The final balance & full payment must be paid no later than 10 days prior to departure depending on the trips.

If the deadline for the remaining payment is exceeded, we reserve the right to cancel any reservation or there is no guarantee against otherwise unnecessary changes.

Group Size & Terms
Group Tours
  1. If the reservation is cancelled 30 days prior to the date of arrival – 90% may be refunded (except the transaction charges).
  2. If the reservation is cancelled 15 days prior to the date of arrival – 50% of the may be refunded (except the transaction charges).
  3. If the reservation is cancelled 07 days prior to the date of arrival – 25% of the may be refunded (except the transaction charges).
  4. If the cancellation is any later than the above stated period or in case of “No Show” – No Refund.
  5. No refund or any charges will be accepted at the last minute of tour starting or after strating or in the middle of the tour.
Individual Tours

Cancellation policy of Individual tours is subject to changes. It depends upon the cancellation policy of the respective hotels and other service operators your tour is associated with. Different hotels and service operators have different cancellation policies which we are required to abide by. In the unfortunate event of cancellation of trips by guests, we would charge 10 % of total booking amount as processing charges + the charges levied by the corresponding service providers.

Note:
  1. For high peak season bookings (from 20th Dec to 15th Jan) – please note that if the booking for high peak season is/are cancelled, due to whatsoever reason, no refund would be made for said cancellation.
  2. During “Peak-Season”, which is defined by the density of tourist inflow in each region, and may vary from place to place and hotel to hotel, any particular hotel may implement a different cancellation policy. The travel agent is bound to follow the hotel specific cancellation policy; and in case of variation from the above-stated policy, the excess in cancellation charges will be borne by the client and not the travel agent.
  3. In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accomodations, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not take any guarantee to refund.
  4. Modifications/Cancellations sent directly to the hotel will not be honored.
  5. In regard to unused or unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled well in advanced) the refunds amounts would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described above, any refund against a payment received through a Credit Card, will be made on the same credit card only.
    Please note that the refund process may take 2 to 8 weeks due to banking procedures.
  6. No deduction will be made for the refunds (except the transaction charges), which are made due to unavailabilty of services. If the services requested are unavailable during the requested period, we will offer similar alternatives acceptables, the advance will be refunded. However, once the alternative service is accepted by the client, cancellation of the same will be subject to the above-stated cancellation policy.
  7. It is clearly understood that there shall be no refund or compensation whatsoever for unutilized services. This general rule applies to all kinds of non-utilization or under-utilization of tour services. whether of the whole or part of the tour and whether as a matter of your choice, or caused by your fault or compelled by circumstances such as ill-health, weather, external factors etc.
  8. There will be no refund if you fail to or are unable to utilize any of the services on the tour like airline travel, hotels, sightseeing, rides, cruises, meals, entrance fees, optional tours etc due to any reason whatsoever such as late reporting, ill-health etc.
Liabilities and Responsibility
  1. Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize the inherent risks and hazards of the tours and agree to take responsibility for your actions and safety.
  2. Chardham tour does not take the responsibility of the information on the website. Final and correct information will be on your tour program as confirmed with us.
  3. We shall not be responsible for any wrongful or negligent or fraudulent, omissions, changes of itinerary, cancellation or the failureof any equipment operated by suppliersor any other party not directly owned or controlled by Chardham tour.
  4. Chardham tour shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage to person or property, alternate of itineraries or cancellation in part or in full, caused by climatic conditions, fire, acts of government or other authorities, wars whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, terrorist activities, technical problem on transport, closure or congestion of airport or ports, cancellation or changeof scheduled airlines or any other actions, omissions or conditions beyond Chardham tour control.
  5. We are not responsible for a client’s failure to comply with customs regulations.
  6. Many of our tour packages include activities which require care and attention. Such activities includes horse riding, climbing hills, and hiking through ice melted canyon etc. You will receive help and advice from our representatives but all activities are undertaken at your own risk. Chardham tour and its employees and agents cannot be responsible for any action or event that occurs after its said employees and agents have exercised their duty amd taken the necessary care.
  7. On the tour it is necessary that you agree to abide by the authority of the tour guide who will be working to ensure the safety and welfare of the group. Any action that jeopardizes this may result in you being asked to leave the tour with no right to a refund or any compensation.
  8. Special requests and any medical issues or conditions must be brought to our attention at the time of booking. We cannot be held liable for any actions or events that could have been avoided with proper disclosure of information.
  9. Chardham tour is not responsible for the theft or loss of any customer’s valuables or items of personal property due to the negligence of the clients.
  10. Smoking is not permitted in any vehicle.
  11. Before the commencement of the tour, you must arrange your own insurance with an insurer, with protection for the full duration of the tour, to cover personal injury, medical expanses, repatriation expenses, loss of baggage and the expenses associated with cancellation or curtailment of the tour. If you become ill during the tour, all hospital expenses, doctor’s fees and repatriation costs are your responsibility and we shall not be liable for any refund of the tour cost.
Complaints & Grievances

If the passanger has any complaint in respect of the services provided by us, the passangers must tell them immediately to your guide / leader or concern person at the moment to resolve the problem ASAP. Any claim or complaint by the passangermust be notified to the company in writing seven days after the tour completion of the tour. Also, the company shall incur no liability in respect thereof.

Jurisdiction

For all claims, disputes of whatsoever nature relating to the tours operated, marketed / coordinated by Us., the courts in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, shall alone have jurisdiction and the laws of Republic of India shall apply.
